All-on-4® or All-on-6? Five questions to prepare you
This won't tell you what you need; only a dentist with your scan can. It will show which way your situation leans and what to ask.
The choice between four and six implants depends mostly on your bone, which jaw is being treated, your bite and your health. Answer the five questions below and you'll get a summary of which way your answers lean, plus specific questions to take to your consultation. Nothing you enter is sent anywhere.
The five questions
How the result is worked out
The quiz follows the patterns described on this site, not a medical formula:
- Upper jaw, plenty of bone, grinding, or wanting a margin lean towards discussing six.
- Little bone, wanting to avoid a graft, or keeping cost down lean towards discussing four.
- Smoking, diabetes and bone medicines don't change the number, but they matter for any implant, so they add a question to ask.
If your answers point both ways, that's normal: for many people both options are possible and the 3D scan decides.
Common questions
Is this quiz a diagnosis?
No. It's a preparation tool. It can't see your bone, gums or bite. Only a dentist who has examined you and seen a 3D scan can say how many implants you need, or whether implants suit you at all.
Is my information saved?
No. The quiz runs in your browser and nothing is sent to us unless you choose to contact us afterwards.
What if my answers are 'not sure'?
That's fine and common. The most useful next step is a 3D (CBCT) scan, which answers the bone question directly.

Only a scan can settle it.
Send us an X-ray or scan if you have one. A dentist will tell you which option suits your bone, and say so honestly if neither is the right step.
